Testing Analyst
Job Description
BITCO Corporation, headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a Testing Analyst to join our Business Services team at our home office in Davenport, IA.BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products and oil gas.
Position Summary :
Working as part of the testing unit within our Business Services team, this position provides testing support of our quoting and issuance system.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyzes vendor delivered service packs to verify all rates, rules, programming and forms are accurate for the applicable testing cycle
- Works directly with vendor to resolve functionality issues in the company's quoting and issuance system
- Develops and executes test case scenarios, and subsequent transactions
- Develops release documentations by line of business in conjunction with the release of a service pack to production
- Works independently on any service request submitted to the vendor, and follows them through to completion
- Coordinates routine activity with vendors in a timely manner
- Works in tandem with in-house applications programmers and compliance team regarding processes for reporting to ISO and NCCI
- Develops information for general reports and projects, following established formats and/or guidelines
- Reviews rating algorithms to ensure that the correct premium is being generated in the quoting and issuance system
- Researches and provides detailed information for special reports and projects, as it relates to ISO and NCCI circulars
- Maintains knowledge and stays current on rates, rules, coverages and forms associated with BITCO's commercial lines of business
- Reviews and reconciles daily premium balancing report to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and provides documentation to both inside and outside auditors
- Provides customer service support to home and branch offices
- Handles procedural questions within the department or from related work units
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous Property/Casualty Commercial Lines Insurance experience preferred
- Knowledge of ISO (Insurance Services Offices) /NCCI (Workers' Compensation) regulations preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding and application of Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
- Proven ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
