Testing Engineer II

The Testing Engineer II is responsible for executing testing-related projects to support the company's strategic business goals. These projects center mostly around packaging development. Positive team engagement and motivation is a primary focus of this role. As a Testing Engineer II serving our customers, this person will primarily work on projects focused on package performance validation testing. They will collaborate with their functional partners to work through projects from concept to completion.

Job Responsibilities:• Develop testing solutions to solve for business opportunities• Stay current with software updates, industry standards and technology developments• Work with team members and project managers to prioritize projects and workload• Provide testing-related sales support• Work with external customer teams to ensure project success• Ability to work independently as well as on a team• Present work to internal groups and customers• Develop presentations• Align projects to strategy• Deliver testing solutions on time and within budget• Meet with customers to help sell design capabilities and custom solutions• Interpret customer feedback and offer appropriate solutions

Qualifications / Knowledge & Experience:• Associates or Bachelors degree in related field• 3+ years of experience in ISTA/ASTM/TAPPI testing (or relevant level of talent + experience)• Strong organizational skills• Strong presentation skills• Positive and proactive• Detail oriented• Ability to plan / prioritize activities - goal oriented• Ability to build trust with the team and partners• Ability to handle multiple tasks and challenging assignment simultaneously• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Background in Design of Experiment (DOE) and Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), preferred• Microsoft Office• Software knowledge: simulation (ex. Abaqus), data acquisition (ex. SaverXware) & statistical and data analysis (ex. MiniTab, MATLAB)

Working Conditions/Physical Requirement:

• Typical office and warehouse conditions
• Safety sensitive role, working with lab equipment
• Minimum OSHA lifting requirements
• Limited travel may be necessary
