About this role:
The Green Operations (GO) Program Specialist plays a vital role within NORESCO by developing and delivering customized marketing and communication programs that enhance energy and water conservation projects while promoting and managing existing customer relationships. The Specialist also delivers people-focused energy awareness and communications programs to promote project understanding and adoption among customer stakeholders and provide timely and equitable resolutions to problems. The Specialist provides problem-solving and creativity to ensure customer satisfaction while producing positive and lasting change in energy and water conservation behaviors among NORESCO's customers.
The Specialist has the communication and business skills necessary to bridge the gap between internal and external decision-makers, departments, and building occupants. The Specialist translates customer needs into action plans, achieves necessary buy-in, and then implements the program, assesses program effectiveness, and modifies it for subsequent implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver on-site awareness-communication & behavior change programs
- Prepare written proposals, on-site awareness communications, and behavior change programs
- Conduct customer interviews and administer surveys, including NORESCO's proprietary Human Behavior Energy, AuditSM surveys, and compile, analyze, and report survey results
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and design new offerings related to organizational energy conservation
- Review and quality control Green Operations and customer service deliverables
- Prepare and deliver customer presentations both one-on-one and as a member of a project team
- Participate in promotional and marketing activities
- Assist with research, budgets, assessment, and program development tasks
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of experience with MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Adobe creative suite or IBM SPSS or equivalent is a plus
- Previous marketing, training, or education experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas is preferred: utility energy efficiency or other program development and delivery, sustainability program development and delivery, energy efficiency and sustainable practices, or building operation and maintenance
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective persuasion, public speaking, presenting, and training capabilities
- Creativity and passion for the visual presentation of ideas
- Must be self-motivated, flexible, and understand how to manage time, set priorities, and meet deadlines while working both independently and in a team setting
- Dependable, with excellent attendance, a professional attitude, and the ability to multitask.
