Therapeutic Recreation Director

Hastings Senior Health & Living, a 5-star rated, 72-bed long-term care campus, is hiring a Full-Time Therapeutic Recreation Director to join our team. In this important role, you will manage a small team of activities professionals, plan and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents. This position includes a $10,000 bonus! 
Our ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents’ well-being, and has a creative personality and positive attitude.
Therapeutic Recreation Director responsibilities:

• Manage small team of activities professionals.
• Ensure meaningful activities are scheduled and executed seven days a week.
• Encourage, support, and assist residents with activities.
• Display an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Therapeutic Recreation Director skills and requirements:

• Desire to work with the older adults required.
• Artistic and musical skills are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and social skills are vital.
• Good customer service instincts will be important in interacting with family members and visitors.
• Engaging, enthusiastic, willing to learn, and overflowing with creativity to share in planning new activities
