Third-Party Risk Intern

Avant has an opportunity for a highly motivated intern who will work directly with various teams to support Avant's modern processes and technologies. You will demonstrate and maintain high standards, performing essential duties while fostering a proactive, efficient, and service-oriented work environment.
Communication, critical thinking, curiosity, and overall professionalism are paramount as you will be representing the Avant risk department to effectively engage with business leadership as well as external providers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
A Vendor Management Intern will perform various duties regarding third-party vendor monitoring and risk remediation

• Support the in-vendor due diligence and new vendor intake, including the collection and analysis of compliance documentation
• Coordinate cross-functional monitoring activities for the critical vendor population.
• Manage reporting schedules for critical vendor oversight activities.
• Review executed contracts and provide analysis regarding Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Excellent interpersonal, written (grammar, spelling, format), and verbal communication skills
• Research and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and follow through on tasks until they are completed
• Ability to collaborate with varying seniority levels, including staff and managers
• Ability to build a plan, prioritize initiatives, and complete both independently and collaboratively
• Undergrad or graduate school intern
