Thought Leadership Manager / Sr Manager

To further elevate DISCO’s brand and thought leadership in the legal industry, increase our visibility across the broader technology and business landscapes, establish the company as a trusted partner while creating demand with key audiences, DISCO is looking for an experienced Thought Leadership and Content professional to join our growing marketing team!

In this newly created role, the Thought Leadership professional will support the growth and maintenance of DISCO’s thought leadership program. Reporting to the Senior Director, Corporate Communications, this leader will create content strategies, write and edit content including messaging for video and broadcast assets, prepare speakers for industry events, and help to raise the visibility and awareness of DISCO and its expertise in the legal, technology, and business industries.

• Own the execution and measurement of DISCO’s thought leadership strategy, to include written and audio/video content production, engaging speaker sessions at industry events, and other strategies to elevate DISCO to key audiences
• Manage the thought leadership editorial calendar and create compelling content for a variety of platforms including blogs, websites, and social media
• Develop thought leadership platforms for key company executives and leaders and, in collaboration with broader communications team, determine appropriate formats to elevate visibility and leadership of leadership
• Serve as a trusted partner with company thought leaders, helping to prepare them for speaking opportunities, events, and other industry-facing opportunities
• Partner with field marketing to identify speaking and thought leadership opportunities at events that reach and engage key audiences
• Partner with the public relations and social media teams to maximize reach of and engagement with thought leadership content and live events 
• Partner with the digital marketing team to support and extend the impact of paid and sponsored promotions, while incorporating best practices in taxonomies, metadata and SEO
• Partner with creative team to incorporate DISCO visual identity into thought leadership content and to create ways to embrace visual storytelling 
• Educate customer-facing teams on thought leadership strategies to make them aware of content and to help them incorporate themes into their prospect and customer interactions
• Bring organization, accountability, and a focus on quality to all activities and cross-functional team engagements
• Bring a data- and metrics-driven approach to evaluating thought leadership programs, with recommendations on how to build strategies and campaigns that will maximize ROI

• 5-8 years of demonstrated experience and success in developing B2B content either as a journalist or a marketer
• Ability to act as a trusted, strategic adviser to top professionals; experience in collaborating with and managing expectations of senior business leaders a plus
• Strong writing and editing capabilities
