Job Summary:
DENSO is looking for a Logistics Planning Specialist in the Athens, TN facility. The Logistics Planning Specialist role is responsible for completing, leading and/or supporting new process development and process kaizen/optimization in the areas of material storage and conveyance, inventory management, and transportation. This role is in office Monday-Friday.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- New process development and process kaizen/optimization in the areas of material storage and conveyance, inventory management, and transportation
- Space planning and capacity studies for current & future business (feasibility studies)
- Facility layout through MIFD reasoning
- Capital improvement projects.
- Std Work creation, Space calculation YoY need
- Annual Plan budget preparation (Capital and Expense) for planned projects
- EF activities across the logistics organization as a TIE/Logx Planner SME (Subject Matter Expert)
- Risk mitigation planning for critical projects
- New building/new equipment budgetary planning, quotation, procurement, and project management
- Other items in warehousing and support departments as identified.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering with 2 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree with 4 years of relevant experience OR 8 years of Denso Warehouse Kaizen/Project work may be considered in lieu of Education.
- Warehouse experience in a TIE, Planning, or NA function Support type role with Warehouse projects
- Minimum of 2 years of Project Leader Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Denso TIE, Warehouse Kaizen or similar role
- Minimum of 4 years of Project Leader
Salary Range: $84,800 - $105,900
