We currently have an immediate need for a Configuration Specialist.

About the Role: As a Configuration Specialist, you will be working as part of the Order Management team to implement configuration services in support of Build-to-Order, Make-to-Order, and Engineering-to-Order processes at a global level, but with a focus initially on North America. The role ensures finalization of sales orders with a focus on quality and cycle time. You will be interfacing with our sales organization, supply chain and our customers to ensure that the orders are booked promptly, are checked, and matched to approved quotations, and are promptly scheduled to our Contract Manufacturer and Suppliers. You will progress to configuring sales orders using Oracle Order Management, Oracle Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Excel tools. The work will demand that you collaborate with Aviat's contract manufacturer and supply chain to coordinate updates or changes to the customer's orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes orders received via quotes and converts them to sales orders in Oracle. Ensures that all orders created comply with the Company's published procedures for order acceptance and ensures that orders match the quotes.
  • Configure sales orders through application of product rules utilizing Oracle Product Configurator.
  • Adhering to business process for corporate compliance and controls.
  • Utilizing problem solving and decision-making skills daily to progress sales orders to resolve unique requirements.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end closes that often require overtime.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 3+ years working in telecommunications, technology, supply chain, or related field preferred.
  • Strong level of attention to detail required.
  • Familiar with reviewing purchase orders as well as payment and freight terminology.
  • Proficient skills working with computers and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is preferred.
