TIER Emerging Risk Analyst

Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in risk management/insurance, business, or communications.

Job Summary: Part of a centralized team dedicated to advancing Lockton expertise in emerging risks and industries with timely, relevant and workable strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Track and monitor emerging risks within specific industries as well as emerging industries previously identified.
• Demonstrate creative thinking and ability to sort through disparate data sources to identify and synthesize key points around emerging risks.
• Periodically refresh existing emerging risk content posted on internal website (Workplace).
• Through research and understanding of emerging risks, support the delivery of written and visual content to Associates/Producers need to address emerging risks with their clients.
• Participate in regular conversations with internal product leaders to receive market intelligence and client feedback on emerging risks being researched.
• Support the development or advising of product leaders on content creation, product innovation and solution development for emerging risks faced by clients.
• Support the creation or guidance of creation of client-facing content to promote Lockton's leadership in this space.
• Participate in ongoing conversations with insurers, law firms and other resources to provide first-hand intelligence around emerging risks.

Key Characteristics:

• 1-3 years' experience in P&C underwriting, brokerage or related insurance industry work.
• Strong reading comprehension and written communication skills.
• Experience or academic emphasis in journalism, creative writing, technical writing, or English.
• Curiosity, desire to learn about new industries and emerging risks such as cannabis, the sharing economy, cryptocurrency and climate change.
