Tool Development Engineer

We are currently seeking a Tool Development Engineer to work remotely from Seattle to provide platform setup, design, and implementation of automation testing solutions for our game studios. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software testing, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in automation testing, and possess the ability to communicate and deliver solutions with stakeholders from the game studios.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with 1st-party game studios and all teams to develop systems in support of game tools as required.
• Develop QA tools that can boost the efficiency and quality of game development.
• Design and develop in-game client-side tools (such as gameplay videos capturing, game maps generating, art resources collecting, etc.).
• Design and make the work arrangements, guide, and supervise the developing process, and establish a quick and effective development system.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automation testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of successful experience in client tools development or plugin development.
• Solid skills in various programming languages programming and possess excellent skills in C++ and Python. Experience in developing in UE4/UE5
• Proficiency in software development practices, including version control, code review, and continuous integration.
• Excellent code reading ability and development based on existing tools, familiar with Eletron and Node.js.
• Familiar with AAA game production pipeline.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies is a plus.
• Experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
