Tool Room Leader

Purpose:

The Tool Room Facilitator oversees daily departmental production requirements. They are responsible for scheduling and assigning workload in the department. They review work order requirements and order the materials needed for each work order. They are also a working tool maker - when not scheduling work for the department and performing periodic maintenance on tool room equipment. The Tool Room Facilitator is responsible for supporting the company's mission statement and the overall business objective.

Nature & Scope:

The Tool Room Facilitator is required to have good verbal and written communication and organizational skills. They must have the abilities to use all of the tool room equipment to perform the needed tasks per the work orders received from the entire plant and engineering. They must display willingness to work as a team and a good working relationship within the facility. This position reports to the Engineering Department Manager.

Education and Experience/Skills

• High School graduate or GED
• Fast-paced team environment experience is preferred
• Prior tool maker experience is required
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings & analyze data
• Computer and organizational skills
• G-coding programming experience is a plus
