As a Primary Storage Qualification (PSQE) Tools Development Engineer you will work as part of a team responsible for development of Automation Tools for Solid State Device (SSD) and Hard Disk Drive (HDD) Qualification. Automation tools are an integral part of Qualification of new SSDs and Hard Drives and provide a competitive advantage to NetApp in the marketplace.
This position requires an individual to be creative, intellectually curious, team-oriented, technology savvy, and driven to produce results.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and maintain Python test scripts and libraries to automate test cases defined for qualification of SSDs and HDDs
- Create Test Automation container bundles on regular cadence that contain bug fixes or new feature enhancements for internal use within NetApp and for Suppliers of SSDs and HDDs
- Enhance Usability based on feedback from internal and external users
- Support the NetApp's Security Development Lifecycle using accepted secure coding standards and methods
- Actively participate in architectural discussions of Automation Test tool and implement creative ideas that will enhance user experience
- Develop Data Analysis foundations around the Automation tool that will enable data driven decisions
- Develop new and rich data visualization techniques that will augment Data Analysis capabilities
Job Requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency using the Python programming language
- Demonstrated proficiency in the implementation of a pytest framework
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use and maintenance of postgres databases
- Practical experience with Django frameworks
- Practical experience with Object Oriented programming practices
- Well-grounded in the basic concepts of computer architecture, data structures and standard programming practices
- An understanding of methods for testing enterprise storage systems and components
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
- Ability to work in a team or individually
- Ability to work remote when necessary
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven aptitude for learning new technologies
- Creative and analytical approach to problem solving ability is essential
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering with emphasis on software development or equivalent experience.
- Experience in automated test development is a plus
- Cybersecurity experience is a plus
