As Marqeta’s Total Rewards Analyst, you will be a part of the broader total rewards team, focusing on bringing the best benefit and compensation programs and solutions to our employees. This position is responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of our benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, retirement plans, and others) as well as assisting with compensation projects (such as job architecture, salary pay ranges, keeping compensation systems up to date with employee data, etc.) You will also be on the front line of answering employee questions about their total rewards package.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist in administration compensation/benefit programs
- Support vendor management activities, including invoices, audits, and other tasks as neededÂ
- Review existing and proposed statutory requirements governing compensation/benefit administration and recommend appropriate courses of action
- Participate in compensation/benefit surveys and recommend corrective or alternative actions to resolve compensation/benefit related problems
- Assist with the annual benefit open enrollment process
- Partner with talent acquisition to ensure total reward collateral is current and update as needed
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on communications, collateral, and other materials for total rewards programs
- Audit jobs for content, determine appropriate FLSA classification, and assign salary grades.
- Take lead on team process documentation
- Creating reports and presentations to communicate the effectiveness of compensation and benefits programs
- Leave of absence management, working with third-party leave administrator to ensure coordination between company policy, state, and disability benefits for payroll processing and HRIS updates
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree, and 2+ years of progressive compensation and/or benefit experience or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Workday HRIS is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong partnerships across Marqeta
- Functions comfortably and effectively in an entrepreneurial and high growth environment.
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity

Compensation and Benefits
Marqeta is a Flex First company which allows you to choose your best working environment, whether that be from home or at a company office. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:
- National: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.
- Premium: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA
- Premium Plus: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.

When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire base salary range for this position is:
- National: $64,275 - $85,700
- Premium: $72,300 - $96,400
- Premium Plus: $80,325 - $107,100
