Job Overview

The Trade Accounting Analyst position is responsible for leading and coordinating with KDP's Sales and Finance groups to input and reconcile customer trade agreements. The role works closely with National and Regional Account Sales team (National and Regional account Executives, directors and VP) as well as Finance directors in the field and internal Finance Departments. This position also is responsible for diving into analytics to implement improvements and deliver automation into the process. These responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, adherence and completeness for policies, procedures, and internal SOX controls.

This position is based in our Frisco, TX office and will have a hybrid schedule (3 days in the office/2 days work from home)

Position Responsibilities

  • Be the business process expert that provides solutions to business problems and/or initiatives
  • Deep dive and provide analytics to make recommendations that benefit the business; drive projects, efficiencies and automation
  • Analyze, compile, calculate, audit, and verify commercial information and data for use in financial reports
  • Manage and provide oversight/guidance for Vistex accruals and agreement entry ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Assist in month-end financial close activities, providing Vistex, BW, Margin Minder, FSCM and SAP queries and reports for accruals, account reconciliation and management reporting.
  • Partner with our stakeholders so that we provide reporting, insights and valuable analysis to drive impactful outcomes.
  • Partner and understand commercial activities, including pricing, new product introductions and customer specific trade spend and promotions and on-going trends in the DSD space.
Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience in Finance/Accounting or related required (top 25 accounting firms helpful).
  • Food & Beverage industry experience ideal but also would consider CPG or product sold through big retail (i.e. Target, 7-11, Staples)
  • Experience supporting Sales financials a plus.
  • Knowledge of income statements, accruals, cash flow statements and balance sheets highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills required (e.g., Pivot Tables, V&H Lookups, Formulas) required
  • ERP experience required (SAP, PowerPoint, Access preferred)
  • BI experience a plus (Planning Analytics, MicroStrategy, SAP BW, etc.)
  • Financial acumen, experience with problem solving with analytical thinking and presentation skills.
