Trade Floor Desktop Engineer

Are you an exceptional Desktop Engineer with experience supporting  Investment Management and Trading teams? Do you know how to build out applications, and troubleshoot when needed? Are you able to travel to other locations across the East Coast regularly?  If you’ve answered yes, then you may be Fivesky’s next Trade Floor Desktop Engineer in New York, NY.

What you’ve done:

• Supported a Trade Floor or Investment Management department. 
• Been the Windows desktop guru working on everything from desktops to laptops. 
• Managed the O365 suite.
• Have a deep understanding of the Windows Infrastructure including Active Directory/Group Policy.
• Carry out troubleshooting in an enterprise environment.
• You've packaged Windows applications. 
• Had tons of experience with common third-party tools used to manage and support large environments using SCCM for patching and software deployment.
• Done a deep dive technically in Windows operating systems up to and including Windows 10.
• Wrote technical and operational management documentation (system design and engineering documents, operational run-books).

What you will do:

• Troubleshoot Desktop issues.
• Perform security management.
• Integrate, sustain and maintain desktop-related technologies.
• Ensure that all products meet the necessary security, supportability, and performance requirements.
• Help with migration work from acquired companies. 
• Carry out Data Management tasks. 
• Ensure business expectations around user experience are met.
• Create, review, maintain and update documentation.
• Stay organized, prioritize and delegate tasks to meet deadlines and report to stakeholders.
• Travel regularly, around once a quarter, to Boston, MA and other hubs across the East Coast including Alpharetta, GA. 

Would be awesome if you had:

• Scripted in PowerShell (unless you can patch 180,000 machines a month on your own).
• Experience with DFS (Distributed File System) and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure).
• Experience sharing your knowledge with peers/ management/ stakeholders via presentations using PowerPoint.
