JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Trade Operations Analyst will be responsible for managing various aspects of trade operations, including overseeing trade confirmations, handling daily stock borrowing submissions, and ensuring the smooth settlement of trades. The role involves detailed data organization, monitoring daily trade flows, and reporting any suspicious activities. This role is initially a temporary position, with the potential to transition to a full-time role based on performance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Trade Confirmation Management

- Manage trade confirmations by downloading them from the vendor’s platform.

- Forward the confirmations to the President for electronic signature.

• Stock Borrowing List Submission

- Prepare and submit a daily stock borrowing list to the vendor following company guidelines.

• Data Organization

- Extract information from end-of-day (EOD) reports.

- Organize and input data into Excel spreadsheets for further analysis.

• Settlement Monitoring

- Monitor the status of trade settlements.

- Investigate and report any unusual activities.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Upon Transition to Full-Time Role):

• Order Management

- Manage trade orders placed by customers, coordinating with pre-assigned trading vendors.

• Flow Monitoring

- Monitor daily stock trade flow.

- Report any suspicious activity or abnormal transactions to the designated Principal.

- Communicate with counterparts in Seoul’s parent company.

• Contact Center Duty

- Answer customer phone calls and assist them in placing or modifying orders.

- Maintain communication records for the parent company.

• Clearance and Settlement

- Communicate with the settlement department at Seoul’s parent company.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bilingual in Korean-English.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience in stock trading related tasks

• Prior experience in trade operations, securities, or financial services, including trade confirmations, settlements, and order management.

• Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software, with advanced skills in MS Excel for data management and analysis.

• FINRA License preferred with strong knowledge of FINRA rules and regulations.

• Experience in a contact center or customer service Role, handling trade orders and customer inquiries.

• Strong analytical skills for extracting and organizing data from reports, particularly end-of-day reports.

• Attention to detail in monitoring trade settlements and investigating discrepancies.

• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, vendors, and international counterparts.

• Problem-solving abilities for addressing abnormalities in trading flow and settlements.

• Multi-tasking capability to manage trade orders, monitor settlements, and prepare reports efficiently.

• Understanding of stock borrowing and lending processes, including submission of borrowing lists.

• Experience working with international teams, coordinating with counterparts in various locations.
