Job Description

Purpose of the role:

Understand the overall Environment around Access and Trade in Japan and other countries as well as Sanofi's strategy and pipeline in a mid to long-term perspective. Act as Project Manager for Trade Strategic Projects including, but not limited to OneTrade(One source of truth around data analytics for Trade) and other Global Trade projects. Develop and Share overall Sanofi's Trade Strategy internally and externally in alignment with Commercial Team, Market Access Team, Finance Team and others.

Specific requirements and responsibilities include:

  • Understand the overall Environment around Access and Trade in Japan and other countries as well as Sanofi's strategy and pipeline in a mid to long-term perspective

  • Understanding the brand strategy/positioning and NHI Pricing Strategy for inline and pipeline products
  • Local environment analysis and identification of win strategy
  • Understanding and Exploring of the strength of different wholesalers to strategize new solutions to maximize Sanofi sales together with relevant groups in Trade
  • Act as Project Manager for Trade Strategic Projects including, but not limited to OneTrade and other Global Trade projects
    • Manage strategic projects related to Trade including OneTrade and provide relevant inputs to different stakeholders
  • Develop and Share overall Sanofi's Trade Strategy internally and externally in alignment with Commercial Team, Market Access Team, Finance Team and others
  • • Act as a point of contact to coordinate with other departments including
    Global Team for adhoc and special projects.

    Special Knowledge & Qualifications

    - Business Level communication and presentation skill in both English and Japanese

    - Wide knowledge and understanding of the Japanese Trade Environment of Pharmaceutical Drugs and National Health Insurance

    - Over 5-year experience in the pharmaceutical industry

    • Logical + Forward-thinking, strong strategic acumen and analytical skills
    • Financial acumen
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills in Japanese and English

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's degree or higher, MBA preferred
