Job Description
- Conducting monitoring and surveillance activities to ensure compliance with applicable law and practices: managing market abuse/surveillance alerts, identification and assessment of potentially abusive behaviors and case handling
- Independently lead and drive projects to improve compliance with market abuse regulatory requirements and framework, i.e. identify, facilitate and implement processes to improve efficiency, develop the monitoring program to address changing regulatory expectations and update supporting documentation as required
- Maintenance of risk-based monitoring plan, including market abuse risk assessment considering the trading/business profile of the company
- Providing day-to-day support on surveillance operating models, including calibration of existing tools and implementation of new controls either automated or manual
- Prepare MI reporting, communicate and engage with all stakeholders
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of Trade Surveillance related experience in the area of Transaction monitoring, Compliance or Risk, ideally from an Energy Trading environment, or within an equivalent function of a regulated investment firm/bank
- Market abuse/surveillance experience is a “must-have”
- Experience of providing MI and summarizing data for stakeholders
- Good knowledge of financial and energy markets regulation including REMIT II, MiFID/MiFID II, MIFIR, MAR, MAD
- Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with risk, legal and back-office departments
- IT skills experience including coding (SQL/Python), database experience in ENDUR is advantageous
- Trade surveillance System – SCILA – is an advantage or any similar monitoring tool
