Trading is important to a wide variety of the Firm’s stakeholders including but not limited to investment professional teams, external investors, investment services teams, Risk, and Compliance. About the Trading Desk Internship

If you are interested in pursuing a career in trading at an investment firm, the 10-week Trading internship at Point72 provides individuals with a valuable experience. As an intern with our Trading Team, you will gain exposure to and build your knowledge base on supporting our U.S. team by:

• Curating daily research reports from relevant news
• Executing trading floor procedures so that flow of trade information from portfolio management to the various sponsors is accurate and efficient
• Monitoring market shifts and inform rest of team
• Entering and monitoring orders and communicating with brokers
• Understanding potential risk areas and preventing trade or operational errors
• Relaying information to/from trading counterparties
• Interacting with various Firm systems and making suggestions for process improvements
• Monitoring price movements, volume, and trading flows
• Affirming all daily trading activity with executing brokers
• Reviewing daily PnL to ensure reported results are consistent with market movements
• Monitoring changes in market
• Reviewing all positions to ensure they are booked accurately
• Investigating any trade discrepancies
• Liaise with Operations Team to resolve any trade booking and settlement inquiries

What's required

We are looking for people with an interest in trading and a strong desire to learn. Additionally, you will need:

• To expect to obtain your bachelor’s degree between December 2023 to May 2024
• Demonstrated academic success as reflected in a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0
• Knowledge of the Trading trends and products, particularly around Interest Rates, FX, and Commodities
• Professionalism with integrity at all times
• Ability to multi-task under stress with strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical, writing, verbal communication, and technical skills
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards

Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
