Job Description
Trading
The position is responsible for the management and oversight of the trading team, the implementation of the investment strategy, and the execution of the trading functions for TIAA Kaspick. The role oversees the trading functions including all trading activity, execution and settlement of trades, setting policy and processes, establishing appropriate controls, and resolution of errors in the clients' best interest. This role is responsible for determining the appropriate department structure including job design, roles, and responsibilities. The role sets goals and objectives for the trading department and staff, makes hiring decisions, and conducts annual performance reviews.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversees trading staff in the implementation of the investment strategy and execution of all trading and portfolio monitoring activities.
- Designs and implements the strategies, processes, and tools for executing trade operations to allow the firm to achieve its objectives.
- Establishes trading policies and procedures that include appropriate controls, risk mitigation strategies, and adhere to internal compliance, audit, and SEC requirements.
- Leads initiatives to solve complex cross-departmental business issues. Collaborates with all areas within the firm to ensure the close integration of the trading function with the other functional areas, e.g., investments, relationship management, reporting, gift administration, operations.
- Establishes individual performance goals and monitors results; prepares and implements training and development plans.
- Manages performance of direct reports through regular, timely feedback as well as the formal performance review process to ensure delivery of trading objectives and engagement, motivation and development of the team.

- Strong oral and written communications skills

Base Pay Range: $140,000/yr. - $170,000/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
