Trading Operations Manager

Job Description - 100% Remote

As the Trading Operations Manager, you will lead a geographically dispersed team, setting the goals and foundation for our domestic and international trading department.  You will oversee a dynamic team of Trading Analysts, Trading Leads, and work closely with Data Scientists at Swish.  This is a fast-paced environment with experts in sports analytics, data science, data engineering, professional/college sports, and software engineering. This role will be responsible for working with sports betting operators to actively manage betting markets, lines and prices: identify potential areas of risk or error, deliver remediation strategies, and work with Data Science, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering to bring greater value to our clients.  The person in this role will routinely be expected to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Duties:

• Work with key stakeholders to set and deliver service KPI’s and ensure client performance is aligned with company goals
• Develop relationships with partners to attain enumerated goals and exceed benchmarks set forth in SLA’s
• Develop new SOP’s for odds compilation, risk management, player props, reporting, suspension, and settlement
• Manage client risk, ensuring the highest margins on Swish products through +EV decisions
• Liaise with trading team domestically and internationally, ensuring 24/7 coverage for all Swish clients
• Identify gaps and areas of opportunity for growth in turnover for Swish clients
• Work with engineering teams to guide development of Swish internal trading tools
• Responsible for trading operations strategy, core principles and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree; preference for STEM degree
• Strong background in math and statistics
• Demonstrated past experience growing and leading a team at a sports betting or financial trading related company 
• Deep understanding of sports betting, market making, risk management and odds origination  
• Willing to be a hands-on leader as it relates to the management of markets
• Passion and intimate knowledge of the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, and NCAA Basketball + Football
• Results driven work ethic – focused on improving process, results and profitability
• Excellent command of written and spoken English 
• Availability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and/or holidays
