Trading Support Engineer (Hybrid - Flexible Options)

Broadridge is growing! We are looking for an energetic, creative and customer focused person that is looking to start or further develop their career in a FinTech environment by joining our team in Newark, NJ. As a Technical Trading Support Engineer, you will be on the front lines of ensuring Broadridge's global client base is effectively using our Order Management System (OMS), reference data and risk products day-to-day to drive their business.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remote.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as front line of support for all trading inquiries- troubleshoot, triage, and manage issues from point of origin to resolution
• Define, present, and implement solutions in the form of business process changes and/or business requirement
• Ensure an excellent client experience by providing proactive, timely and efficient communication regarding the impact, current status and next steps of issues being researched
• Act as a liaison between the client and internal departments in facilitating issue resolution and/or software delivery; work with Relationship Managers to advocate for client specific product functional requests and changes
• Work with the manager to handle issue backlog, monitor and assign issues as reported by clients
• Build and maintain client relationships and maintain superior levels of client satisfaction

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of experience in financial technology and/or the investment industry ideally in a client-facing role
• Understanding of financial markets, trading and risk management
• Working knowledge of XML/L/Java/VB including the ability to read simple scripts
• Ability to read SQL scripts and stored procedures
• Knowledge of ETL-ability to follow data as it comes in from a vendor and to a database
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to multi-task
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Technology, Finance, or related field #LI-PS1
