Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineer to be based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Positions is expected to begin in September, 2022.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Design traffic signal installations, pedestrian hybrid beacons, rapid rectangular flashing beacons
• Design signing and marking plans for small- and large-scale transportation projects
• Design intelligent transportation systems such as camera installations, communications networks, and detection systems
• Design intersection improvements such as concepts for turn lane additions, roundabouts, restricted crossing u-turns, etc.
• Periodic travel required within Georgia and neighboring states

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Planning from an ABET accredited school

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in traffic engineering
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail
• Preferably be experienced in Synchro/SimTraffic and MicroStation
