Trainee Paraplanner

Are you working towards a Level 4 Certification in Paraplanning or Financial Planning? Do you have prior experience working in the financial services industry?

We have a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career within the financial services industry. You will obtain expertise in providing support on technical and investment advice across all aspects of clients’ requirements and wealth management planning.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Trainee Paraplanner to join our teamwork as part of a collective to assist our directors and senior consultants in providing technical wealth management support for the delivery of key products and services to clients.

The successful applicant will:

• working towards a Level 4 Certification in Paraplanning/Financial Planning

• minimum of 3 RO exams to have been achieved before applying

• good technical knowledge of the spectrum of financial products

• good understanding of client requirements including pensions, protection and wider personal wealth management

• excellent customer service skills and attention to detail

• be self-driven, enthusiastic, and reliable with good organisational skills

• team working skills as well as the ability to work independently

• flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-task

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE: 

Reporting to the Paraplanner Team Leader, this role will be responsible for supporting the preparation of detailed reports and providing highly technical research services to the wealth management consultancy team.

The successful applicant will take ownership and develop and an in depth understanding of complex report writing processes and the suitability process.

The day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

• providing technical and investment advice support on all aspects of clients’ requirements and wealth management planning

• being an additional point of contact for clients and to answer queries

• prepare, review and update letters, proposals and reports (with consultant direction) with attention given to the client’s risk management position

• keeping up to date on clients’ current circumstances and provisions (in conjunction with the consultant)

• highlighting areas of planning requirements for clients as part of your developing relationship with the Consultant team

• constructing a recommendation using a range of products including the tax wrappers

• understand both personal and business protection policies and their uses

• conduct research and data analysis for both the client and special projects

• provide assistance and project management support in the delivery of the Group’s products and services to clients, including cash management, tax products and any special projects
