Training Assistant
Job Description
WestCoast Children’s Clinic, located in Oakland, California, is a non-profit community psychology clinic that provides mental health services to Bay Area children, youth and families. WestCoast Children’s Clinic (WCC) is seeking a Training Assistant to provide overall administrative coordination and support to ensure the seamless operations of the intern training program (doctoral interns, mentored intern program, and psychology practicum). Duties include coordinating, tracking and supporting the program training, providing administrative coordination for the orientation trainings during onboarding, ongoing training meetings, and scheduling meetings and interviews. Other duties include support of projects related to the implementation of the Mentored Intern Program, which includes serving as a liaison between the program and universities, tracking participation, and overall grant compliance.
The Training Assistant will:Â
- Provide administrative support to Intern Training Program including tracking essential documents related to intern files, supporting intern selection process, scheduling trainings and retreats, and tracking deadlines.
- Coordinate the Mentored Intern Program including tracking and completing required paperwork and maintaining records.
- Participate in program evaluation tasks that include administration of evaluation surveys and compiling data from evaluations throughout the year.
- Oversee and coordinate administrative aspects of Title IV E Training as it relates to intern program trainings.
- Coordinate all orientation trainings for new interns. Â This includes maintenance and distribution of clinically-focused training materials and developing orientation schedules. Â
- Track attendance and completion of compliance trainings.
- Assist with projects as assigned in Intern Training.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with human services/social services experience
- Demonstrated experience in administration and management of programs
- Demonstrated experience in program operations with an emphasis on training operations Â
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and analytic skillsÂ
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, able to learn, adapt quickly, and maintain confidentiality
- Knowledge of and sensitivity around issues of race, class, and ethnicity
- Familiarity with Word, Excel and Mac OS
This is a full-time position. Hourly rate starting $24-$25 per hour and includes competitive benefits package, 403b retirement contribution and performance-based compensation plans.Â
