Summary
The Training Developer role is to develop training material reflective of the functionality in the delivered system. This individual will work closely with the technical team to understand the functionality in enough detail to develop documentation that describes that functionality and outline the steps necessary to successfully perform tasks within the delivered system. This individual will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the deliverables meet client standards and expectations. The successful candidate will work on multiple tasks simultaneously and be a team player.
The Training Developer will report to the Training Lead.
Project Specific Responsibilities
• Design, develop, deploy, and evaluate the training support materials.

• Work with client teams to understand business processes as they relate to the training subject matter.
• Lead training delivery for client trainers
• Support training delivery for client end users

• Functional expertise in EAM applications, specifically IBM Maximo, is required.
• Understanding of Business Process designs and considerations for role impacts

• Support project deployment activities and post-deployment review to ensure successful adoption of training subject matter.

• Leadership engagement and communication.
General Project Management Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to the Program Manager on the development of project plans related to schedule, budget, scope and resources.
• Ensure achievement of business goals and objectives by proactively communicating with project stakeholders.
• Follow IT development processes such as change management and configuration management.
• Understand each project's critical path activities.
• Interact with customers to solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel, both verbally and in writing.
• Conduct Meetings with client, partners and staff.
• Follow all SDI defined processes.
• Assist in development of work product for the client.
• Pursue continuous learning, staying on top of industry trends, sharing knowledge with others.
• Other tasks as requested by the Program Manager/Delivery Executive Team.

Job Specific Requirements
• 4-year college degree or relatable professional experience

• 5+ years with the following:
• Readiness assessment framework definition and evaluation against readiness criteria
• Training development planning and coordination
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Computer Based Development Tools: Adobe Captivate / Camtasia
• Enterprise Asset Management experience IBM Maximo required
• Training Logistics and Environment coordination
• Train-the-Trainer approach definition
• Training delivery material preparation
• Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
• Managing staff

• Experience with course management within a Learning Management System.
• Ability to gather information and insights from individuals and groups through the use of questioning and interviews.
• Knowledgeable with business/functional processes in construction & operation of utilities and ability to identify employees, locations and facilities impacted by Maximo technology.

• Understanding of project management and application development standards (agile and waterfall)
• Gas utility experience - especially knowledge of construction / field operations is a plus.

• PMP Certification desired
• GIS experience a plus
General Requirements

• Ability to work in the field, both in a management and hands on role.
• Ability to communicate professionally, both verbally and in writing.
• Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and/or advanced knowledge of multiple technical software delivery life cycles.
• Advanced skills using Microsoft Office Products.
• Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and leadership skills.
