Job Summary:
Energy Recovery, Inc. is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Training Manager, CO2. This position is within the CO2 Business unit and reports directly to the Senior Director, Product Management, CO2.
The Training Manager is responsible for creating a cohesive workforce that understands how to work efficiently and meet company goals. The primary responsibility of the position is to train internal and external stakeholders on company’s CO2 products. This includes building training materials in collaboration with multiple departments of the organization, working collaboratively multiple trade partners to ensure smooth delivery of the training program and delivering the training material and courses to the internal and stakeholders. The Training Manager is expected to seek continuous feedback from the training recipients and will be responsible for continuous improvement of the training material. The Training Manager is required to coordinate with other trainers within the organization and ensure smooth functioning of the Training group.We are looking for a high-caliber candidate who enjoys working hard on important projects, in highly collaborative teams, and who has a proven record of achieving results.
A strong candidate will be an experienced Field Services CO2 operator with strong understanding of skill sets necessary to make a commercial and industrial CO2 system function. Along with technical skills, excellent communication skills, and meticulous attention to detail is desired. The exceptional candidate should be self-driven, motivated and seek for new ways to improve the training efficiency.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assess current training materials and identify strategy to improve training materials
- Work collaboratively with multiple departments to develop optimal training material
- Keep training material up to date conforming to the new product development
- Work with industry partners to tailor training material that suits the need to each individual business partner
- Ensure scheduling of regular training sessions
- Ensure smooth delivery of training materials in the training sessions
- Coordinate with other trainers for smooth functioning of the training division
- Oversee in-house and external training
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and make adjustments when necessary
- Provide summary reports to management, outlining the impact of training on employee skills and corporate goals
- All other projects and duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills
- B.S. or higher in engineering or technical field is desired. However, candidates with strong hands-on field experience will be prioritized
- 5-8 years of Field Services experience in Refrigeration and/ or Heat Pump Industry is required
- Familiarity with refrigeration system architecture and design methodology is strongly desired
- Knowledge of Controls Systems of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems is strongly desired
- 3+ years of experience as a trainer/ coach
- Proven success in utilizing and implementing instructional design theory
- Familiar with both traditional and modern job training methods, trends and techniques
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills
- Strong customer-centric mindset – understanding customer’s requirements and ability to think like a customer is required
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment
- Skilled in customer/stakeholder relationship management, business planning, teamwork, and execution
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required. Knowledge to carry on business in either of French, German and/ or Spanish is additional bonus
- Valid Passport and ability to travel internationally
- Basic time management skills and knowledge of business software platforms (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time (domestic and international)
