Job Description
Q2 is seeking a Product Training Specialist to join a team of trainers whose primary responsibility is to train and/or build content for FI customers and implementation partners to ensure a supportable understanding of the various Q2 lines of business including the Q2 Digital Banking platform, the Centrix product suite, and Gro. This position will require a quick learner who can filter through a lot of information to determine exactly what is needed to create effective and relevant training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and delivers presentations, demonstrations, train-the-trainer, end-user classes, and computer-based training on the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Q2’s software solutions.
- Delivers training using a variety of media and methods, including, but not limited to, instructor-led lecture and discussion, hands-on skills instruction, and various e-learning or distance-based options.
- Manages training event activities before, during, and after course completion to ensure consistent and successful delivery. Coordinates training activities (room setup, travel arrangements, etc.) for training events. Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of training resources (environments, documentation, etc.).
- Identify internal and external training needs by monitoring upcoming product releases and working with other teams including Product Management and Development to identify training opportunities, necessary training content updates, and potential gaps in knowledge.
- Serve as a professional member of the Training Team, contributing both ideas and expertise in the development of relevant, world-class training efforts.
- Represents Q2 in a positive, professional manner when working with both external and internal customers.
- Responsible for ensuring that all Q2 security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to.
- Q2 is a global company. Meetings outside of standard US business hours may be necessary on occasion.
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
- Related experience may include software training experience, course development, or delivery.
- Banking industry experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Experience with audio and video editing tools, Articulate, the Atlassian product suite, Salesforce, and SharePoint preferred but not required.
- Highly engaging facilitation skills and classroom management techniques to ensure effectiveness and accuracy in engaging audiences with diverse skill sets and learning needs. Must possess an understanding of the principles of adult learning.
- Ability to learn complex, difficult concepts with minimal assistance.
- Self-starting, driven, and able to work autonomously; willing to accept challenging projects.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to develop industry-standard training sessions.
- Must be willing and able to travel at least 25% of their work schedule. International travel may also be required.
