The Training and Talent Development Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's training and development initiatives. This position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a variety of training programs, workshops, and development opportunities across all levels and departments. This role offers an opportunity to enhance training and facilitation capabilities while contributing to the professional growth of the organization's workforce. The Training and Talent Development Associate will work closely with the talent development team, gaining exposure to various learning methodologies and best practices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics, materials and the schedule for training events, new hire orientation, employee onboarding and workshop
  • Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions using effective adult learning principles.
  • Create digital learning assets such as graphics, videos, gifs, and documents
  • Send engagement surveys post-training and schedule long-range check-ins post-hire.
  • Assist in the evaluation of training effectiveness and suggest improvement including focus groups and low-level needs analysis.
  • Maintain and upload new users to the Learning Management System (LMS) and manage employee accounts in collaboration with HRIS data. Provide baseline navigation to LMS users as needed.
  • Provide data analysis and metrics on engagement data from the Learning Management System (LMS) and LinkedIn Learning platforms.
  • Support the implementation of talent development strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Communications to market course offerings (LinkedIn Learning, Newsletter Drafts, and copywriting).

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • A minimum of 3 years of Administration, Human Resources, or Training & Development experience required. 
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications in training and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability manages multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must. 
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality a must.
  • Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is a plus.
