Transaction Manager, Project Finance Unit
Hybrid-New York City, NY or Wilmington, DE - Remote also considered
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Time on-site or time zone may be necessary based on business need.
Summary:
The Transaction Manager is responsible for the on-boarding and daily management of Project Finance related client transactions. The TM maintains contact with clients to address inquiries and/or facilitate client requests. Processes all related transactions, including collecting critical documents, performing KYC and cash disbursements, and establishing new accounts for various Project Finance related transactions with both Debt and Loan components. Ensures proper administrative management for accounts under responsibility, with limited supervision.
Some of the things you will be doing:

• Support and manage client relationships, and making appropriate recommendations regarding routine internal business activities
• Provide and maintain appropriate levels of controls to minimize losses
• Provide effective support of team members as requested
• Resolve problems and respond to client requests in a timely manner
• Manage relationships with internal and external service partners; assess issues requiring immediate attention in a timely manner and work to resolve all other issues through the normal course of business utilizing available resources
• Responsible for the onboarding and upkeep of a transaction during the initial stages, negotiation and post- closing phases, to ensure all contractual obligated are properly reflected (Billing, Letter of Credits, UCC's and Annual Tax Reporting)
• Work with leaders and attorneys to analyze transactions, review and negotiate documentation and investigate information for the approval of transactions
• Management of collateral packages in connection with Project Finance transactions to ensure that they follow the contractual obligations
• Participate in accounts receivable collections process
• Adhere to corporate policies and procedures related to the TM role
• Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
• Execute cash movements for vendor payments, client disbursements, debt service, trades, and tax payments, while adhering to company account restrictions
• Review work product to ensure accuracy, professionalism, and meet all transactional deadlines
• Complete other related duties as assigned

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• The ability to multitask and keep transactions organized both pre and post close in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, as the job involves direct communication with clients and all parties to a transaction
• Strong prioritization and time management skills
• Strong problem solving skills
• Experience participating in driving process improvements or automating business process as an end user is a plus
• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Applicants must have a minimum of five years Project Finance / Corporate Trust experience
• Experience with negotiation of Financing Documents
• Business level fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
• Ability to maintain tact, composure and professionalism when situations may become stressful
