Position Summary

Avantax is seeking a Transaction Support Specialist II that will be responsible for establishing client accounts while maintaining data, and processing transfers for all lines of business, such as brokerage, advisory, annuity, and directly held business within the Account Servicing team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The major responsibilities of the position are listed below. To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

• Learn to review paperwork and monetary items received to identify workflow direction.
• Assist with data entry, research, and solving routine problems.
• Learn to review paperwork received to ensure the acceptability of documents.
• Learn the support steps/incidents in the client relationship management system.
• Process incoming and outgoing transfers, once they are in good order and disbursements.
• Set up new accounts and perform account changes.
• Other job duties as defined.

Education & Experience

• 1-3 years of experience with data entry and processing transactions.
• High school diploma.
• Ability to work well within a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office, specifically MS Excel.

Physical Demand & Work Effort

• Keying/typing, standing, walking.
• Sitting for an extended period.
• Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.
• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
• Compliance with company attendance standards.
