Zayo is seeking a Transaction Tax Analyst to join our Tax team. Our Transaction Tax Analyst works closely with our Tax Director to support the business teams regarding tax inquiries and tax exemptions. Our Transaction Tax Analyst will also work with our tax team members to collect, validate and analyze data required for other monthly compliance processes and tax refunds. The Transaction Tax Analyst position is part of a growing tax department with opportunities for developing one's tax expertise.
*We're open to this position working in a hybrid capacity out of our Denver, CO office.
Responsibilities

• Review US and Canadian regulatory/tax exemptions
• Prepare Canadian tax returns
• Issue tax credits based on regulatory/tax exemptions
• Prepare tax estimates for business proposals
• Assist the Transaction Tax Manager with sales and use tax refunding efforts
• Assist in preparing transaction tax, regulatory filings and unclaimed property reports
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in compliance data
• Identify new process improvement opportunities
• Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in Transaction Taxes
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & Access, as well as other MS Office applications, and Google applications including Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Docs
• Experience in the telecom industry would be an advantage
• Salesforce and/or Oracle R12 experience would be an advantage
• Ability to handle tight deadlines and work independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities with a high level of attention to detail
• Self-starter to meet the needs of the business

Base pay range: $65,600- $75,480 commensurate with experience
