About the Role


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Transactional Law Paralegal to join our legal team. This role will focus on supporting our legal and business teams with a variety of transactional matters, including contracts, compliance, and corporate governance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional law, with specific experience in the payments or fintech sectors.

What You'll Do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents, including service agreements, vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and other transactional documents.
  • Assist in maintaining the company's compliance with local, state, federal, and international laws and regulations related to payments and financial services.
  • Support corporate governance matters, including preparing documents for board meetings and maintaining corporate records.
  • Collaborate with and support the legal team in managing transactions from inception to closing, including due diligence activities.
  • Provide legal support and advice to various business units within the company.
  • Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations affecting the payments industry.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the company's operations comply with applicable legal and regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program, Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3-6 years of experience as a paralegal in transactional law, preferably within the payments, fintech, or related industries.
  • Strong understanding of contracts and experience in contract review and negotiation.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Understanding of the regulatory landscape in the payments industry is a plus.

The base salary for this position is $35 - $49 hourly while taking into consideration factors such as relevant experience, skills and qualifications for the role, and location. Stronghold currently offers health benefits for eligible employees.
