ABOUT THE POSITION
Although we're an apparel and footwear focused company, data is central to everything we do. Columbia Sportswear's Data and Analytics team advances and enables reporting and analytic capabilities across four global brands, a global supply chain, and 500+ geographically dispersed stores. The team is comprised of experts across data analysis and modeling, platforms and operations, engineering, data governance, analytics, and data science.
As the Transition Manager/Communications Lead, you will be part of a growing Enterprise Analytics team within the Data and Analytics organization and play a key role in our transformation to a data-driven culture across the Enterprise. You will develop communications and programs that actively engage the global Data and Analytics Community. This role is essential to the community as it creates purposeful and timely connections between employees and Analytics CoE activities and products. You will build communications and programs that create excitement, drive engagement, and shape a data-driven culture.
You will advance our CSC Global teammates' abilities to find, work with, and communicate with data, empowering them to ask the right questions, make decisions, and influence with knowledge. You will also create plans to advance skills in data, data visualization and, in particular, data science.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Drives communication campaigns that fuel employee engagement, guide access to assets and resources, increase cross-functional connectivity, and build the data-driven culture
- Collaborates with Enterprise Analytics leadership to determine strategy and priorities for development of the Data & Analytics Community
- Manages projects and end to end programs with moderate resource requirements, risk and/or complexity. Provides training and leadership for other team members. Key role in planning and coordinating with others for projects or tasks.
- Writes and delivers impactful communication campaigns and maintains platforms that support a vibrant and informed Data & Analytics Community
- Documents KPIs to measure and improve performance in key focus areas.
YOU ARE
- Independent and driven: Identifies and solves complex problems that impact multiple areas. Applies independent analysis based on in-depth research and critical thinking to recommend solutions.
- Analytical: Routinely analyzes unique issues or problems and functions with a high degree of autonomy.
- A communications and stakeholder management expert: You communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a different point of view. You converts technical information into compelling business context and advice
- Expert in Excel, Power Point, virtual collaboration tools. Power BI, or other visualization tools a plus.
YOU HAVE
- Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience and mastery of relevant technical or business skills required to accomplish the job.
- Strong project and program management skills
- Experience in Interpreting internal/external business challenges. Recommending best practices to improve products, processes, or services to distinguish from the competition.
- Experience in and ability to apply specialized knowledge of industry standards/practices on key projects and initiatives
- Experience in the application of theoretical knowledge, gained through formal education or equivalent work experience that provides knowledge of and exposure to fundamental theories, principles and concepts in your field.
