TRA RN Certified Surgical Tech

TRA is Tenet's in-house nationwide contingent pool for Nursing and Allied travel and local contracts. Receive a greater level of Contract security compared to with an outside agency.

TRA Certified Surgical Technician s responsible for aseptic technique in OR, setting up the required equipment instrumentation and sterile supplies as needed for their assigned cases; scrubbing and passing instruments and equipment during surgicalprocedures; pulling cases as needed, breaking down cases at the end of the procedure, sets up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day’s schedule. Available for call on an assigned/ scheduled basis as required by unit need. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education
Graduate of an Accredited Allied Health Education Program

Preferred Education
Associates Degree

Minimum Experience
One year in a Clinical Setting

Required Certification/Licensure
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Certification
- Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
