Travel & Expense Specialist

As a Travel and Expense Specialist, you will be an integral part of the Accounting team. The Travel and Expense Specialist will assist employees with the company's online expense management tool and the bank travel, corporate credit card and Procurement ("P-Card") programs. The position will also act as a liaison by communicating the enterprise travel policy and procedures and act as first line of training.
Essential Job Functions:

• Assists employees with Concur Travel and Expense questions/training, and administrative duties for the Travel, Corporate Card and P-Card programs
• Processes Corporate Card and Purchasing Card applications
• Administrative tasks associated with managing the Corporate Card and P-Card programs such as processing employee terminations, assisting with cardholder issues, pulling transaction reports, pulling delinquency reports, addressing fraudulent or declined charges, etc.)
• Identifies deficiencies in end-user knowledge and training and works to address them. Assists in creating and disseminating training to end users
• Escalates questionable expense report entries or corporate card charges as needed to Compliance team and all other appropriate parties
• Assists with month end close functions as needed
• Audits and processes expense reports, incorporating government contracting regulations and guidelines to make determinations on allowability of expenses
• Monitor T&E inbox, P-Card inbox, and ServiceNow T&E inquiries and respond accordingly to provide guidance to end users
• Assists with other functions performed by the T&E team such as reconciling direct bill accounts, processing cash advance requests, and processing recruit expense reimbursements.
• Participates in testing efforts associated with implementation of Concur and any of its ancillary systems

Must Haves:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
  
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Proficiency with Automated Accounting Systems
• Analytical abilities, time management, organizational and communication skills are essential
• Ability to work and communicate with a wide range of constituencies
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to handle conflict in a professional manner

Preferred:

• Associate's degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience in corporate travel, P-Card or Corporate card programs
• Prior Concur and SAP experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software applications
• Knowledge of the Concur Travel & Expense platform and experience working within the system
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred experience in government contracting

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $21.21 - $29.16
