- Job Details
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in Waterloo, Iowa at Allen Hospital.
- Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process.
- This is a Med-Surg need, caring for post-operative surgical patients.
- Job Requirements
- 2 years of Med Surg experience including Post Op experience.
- Telemetry strip reading experience encouraged.
- Hospital experience strongly desired.
- Travel experience desired.
- Ability to float internally to other like units.
- Schedule Information
- Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 on day shift and 1:4/5 on night shift.
- OT billed after 40 hrs/week regardless of weekly guarantee.
- Unit Specific Information
- 28-bed unit caring for post-operative surgical patients.
- Nurses are trained to read telemetry strips and take care of cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, Insulin.
- Additional Details
- Travelers must be COVID vaccinated; Medical/Religious Exemptions provided upon request.
- Candidates with a taxable home address within 60 miles of the facility location will be billed at a rate 10% less.
