Travel Management and Support System Analyst w/TS Clearance

The Travel Management Team (TMT) is responsible for managing travel processes through several integrated and non-integrated systems used by federal and non-federal travelers for both domestic and international travel in compliance with the Federal Travel Regulations (FTR), departmental polices and I&A processes and procedures. The purpose of this position is to provide support to the Travel Program Manager administering the CONCUR Travel Services Program and provide other operational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Support the configuration, testing, and change management related to the travel and other integrated systems development and implementation.
- Develop and update travel and other financial business practices for integration into standard operating procedures, written policies, and online travel portal.
- Work with functional specialists, automation specialists, contractors, vendors to effectively translate process requirements into an automated application.
- Provide support to system end users through conduct of research, data analyses, issues analyses and recommends solutions to potential problems.
- Support the implementation of internal controls as it relates to travel program system administration and end user support.
- Use automated databases and online travel management systems as a system administrator to produce internal and external reports and conduct analysis of travel activities and other program expenditures (i.e., training purchase orders).
- Provide assistance in preparing reports and issuing papers and correspondence pertaining to financial management of the I&A travel program.
- Supports training and outreach efforts resulting from the re-engineering, development and implementation of new processes, procedures and systems as necessary for employees forboth domestic and international travel.
- Perform quality control and ensures compliance with Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and departmental policy for all travel authorizations and expense reports.
- Process documentation to request re-allocation of funds to correct shortages and realignments to meet changes in program requirements.
- Submit data for specific items of monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Convey program guidance to stakeholders to ensure compliance to financial policies and procedures and the FTR.
- Serve as the travel liaison for I&A travel program stakeholders.
Required Skills:
- BA/BS degree
- 5 years in the related field
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel
- Excellent presentation and relationship management skills
- Experience with writing and administering Procedures and processes
- Active Top-Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
- Prior DHS experience
- Working knowledge of Fedtraveler.com, EPIC
- Knowledgeable with Federal Travel Regulations
