  • Performs initial assessment, admits and prepares patient for appropriate surgical/special procedure.
  • Acts as a liaison between operative team and family.
  • Provides postoperative care and support.
  • Implements discharge plan.
  • Provides specialized treatments and procedures, patient and family teaching.
  • Provides professional, courteous, and emphatic service to a population ranging from infants to adults.
  • Performs Pre-Op Clinic duties as needed.
    Job Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited registered nursing program with a Degree in Nursing.
  • Experience is preferred.
  • Orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience.
  • Additional education/training in related field is considered on an individual basis.
  • CAPA or CPAN certification is recommended.
  • Active membership in professional organizations (ASPAN/ONS/SGNA) are highly recommended.

  • Provides care for patients in Pre-Op Clinic, Same Day Surgery, PACU, and Special Procedures.
