  • Hospital in Central Nebraska is looking for an experienced CVOR nurse.
  • Nurse will have to circulate and scrub a plus.
  • Shift is 7a-1530.
  • Call is not listed but will discuss in interview if needed.
    Job Requirements
  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: Handing open heart procedures, working in a general OR.
  • Is scrubbing required for RNs? No.
  • Is there a manager/Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? A Manager and Charge daily, no room assignment.
    Schedule Information
  • 8s or 10s beginning at 0700 M-F, same schedule week to week.
  • Call is somewhat self-scheduled.
  • Weeknight/Call Requirements: Yes, 10-15 total days per month on call, combination of nights and weekends.
  • Weekend/Call Requirements: Yes.
  • Holiday/Call Requirements: Yes as needed.
  • What is call response time? 15 minutes.

  • Unit: CVOR
  • # of Suites: 11
  • Average # of cases per day: 18
    Additional Details
  • Common Cases: CABG, Vascular, Lungs.
  • OR techs? Yes.
  • EMR: Epic.
  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? One week.
  • Additional Notes: Will work on CVOR team embedded in the general OR. When not doing cardiovascular cases will do general, ortho, urology and ENT cases.
