Data Collection : Unit Information: Operating Room Location: South Tower, 2 nd Floor Address: 1313 Hermann Dr. Houston, TX 77004 Floor: 2 nd Tower Building: South Tower General Information Tell us about the unit(s): · Number of ORs – 4 CVORs · Number of Staff – 3 RNs, 3 scrub techs · Type of staff: o Day Shift – 3 RNs, 3 scrub techs o OR operates 0730 to 1700 · Patient Ratios – 1:1 · Type of equipment - · EMR – Meditech ORM Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. · 2 years OR Circulating Experience at Acute Care Hospital · Varied skill set cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first. · CVOR experience · CNOR Certification · > 5 years experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): · Open heart cases, pump cases, coronary artery bypass grafting, TAVR, Type A and B aortic dissection repair, AVR, MVR, Thoracic surgery, vascular surgery Best personality Fit: · Flexible, ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS: · BLS Floating Area(s): · Cath lab for TAVR Dress Code : · Scrub Color/Attire - Scrubs provided by hospital. Unit Guidelines/Policies : Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. · Shift starts at 0630, Huddle 0645 daily, 45 min response time for on-call · Rotating call days based on current employees, 1 RN and 1 scrub tech on call 5pm-7am, and weekend 7a-7a call · Artificial nails, dips, gels, etc not permitted. Weekends and On call(if any) · Weekends covered by on-call 24 hrs Sat/Sun, Call shift during week begins at end of regular shift. Shift ends 5pm, call starts 5pm to 7am, Shift ends 7pm, call starts 7pm to 7am
