- Job Title: CTU/ Step Down RN (Cardiac Telemetry Unit) - Aspirus Wausau Hospital - Wausau, WI.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Start Date: 3/31/25
- Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36
- Shift Requirements: 12 hours NOCS 1900-0730
- Float Requirements: Float to all inpatient units as needed.
- On Call/Call Back Requirements: none
- Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend. Every other holiday
- Job Requirements
- Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS and ACLS
- Minimum Experience: 2 years IMC/PCU/Tele experience required and MUST HAVE 1 YEAR STRONG CARDIAC EXPERIENCE (Cardiac SDU/Intermediate Cardiac/Cardiac ICU)
- Candidates cannot move forward in the interview process without experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips
- Required: at least ONE travel assignment must be completed
- Charting: 1 year recent EPIC charting experience required
- Unit Specific Information
- 44 Bed Intermediate cardiac stepdown
- Fast paced, high patient turnover
- Post op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, Vascular, Arrhythmia, CHF, Post procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, Acute CP/MI, med/surg overflow i.e. detox, DKA, COPD exac, resp failure
- Patient ratio typically 1:4
- Additional Details
- Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely
- Scrub Colors: N/A
- GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
