  • Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care
  • New unit opening all starts required for 3/24
  • Patient Ratio 1:4
  • Observation unit. Anemia, Cellulitis, COPD, Dehydration, pre and post-op Urology and GI, Drips (Cardiac Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin) Average stay up to 48 hrs. High amount of admissions and discharges.
    Job Requirements
  • WI RN License
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years
  • 1 travel assignment REQUIRED
  • Charting Experience: EPIC REQUIRED
  • Ability to read and interpret strips is required
    Schedule Information
  • Guaranteed Hours Per Week: 36 hrs
  • Shift Requirements: 12 hr variable days/nights
  • Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday
  • On Call/Call Back Requirements: None
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit Information: 8 bed unit
  • Background in observation units, or MS/Tele units
  • Will have to take an EKG exam during compliance

  • RADIUS RULE-TRAVELER MUST BE OUTSIDE 50 MILES FROM FACILITY
  • Desired skillset: Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely, willingness to ask questions and collaborate with team and ancillary staff to ensure the best patient experience possible. Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes which can occur throughout a shift.
