Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,362 per week

Job Description

Minimum Experience: Two years of strong Tele/M/S, 1 travel assignment, trauma level II experience
Charting Experience: Recent EPIC experience required (will be required to do a checkoff class)
Required Certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS

Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Three weekends out of every six week schedule. Every other holiday.

Cardiac Renal Unit MS/Tele RN - Nights - Deaconess Midtown
NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (40 MILE RADIUS RULE)
Patient Population: High acuity – Tele/M/S, Cardiac heavy (Afib with RVR, Afib, flutter, blocks), heart cath without interventions. CHF, COPD, sepsis, BH/CIWA, post ablations, dialysis.
Skillset: Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, Initiate/titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, etc.), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, CBI, stables drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), antidysrhythmic (cardizem, tikosyn dosing, amio), nephrostomy tubes.
Must have strong assessment and critical thinking skills! Hard worker, resilient and manages change well, social candidates.
Unit Information: 32 beds. Ratio: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:5-7; CN rarely takes patients on days, but takes an assignment on NOC shift.
Unit Strengths: Excellent retention and experience on unit. Manager has been over the unit for 15+ years and has built a strong team! Seeking contracts due to upcoming FMLA for multiple staff.
Scrub Colors: Navy blue scrubs

GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation. Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.
