- Unit: MedSurg - 6th Floor
- 42 Beds
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 occasional 1:6
- Common diagnoses include respiratory, GI, and behavioral health
- Must have 2 years of MedSurg experience
- Must have EPIC experience
- Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
- Charge Nurse on each shift
- Virtual Tele techs available
- Job Requirements
- BLS certification required
- 2 years of MedSurg experience
- EPIC experience required
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry
- Schedule Information
- 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 5 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
- Holiday shifts may be required
- No block scheduling
- 3 days of general orientation including EPIC training
- Unit Specific Information
- Common titratable drips include heparin, PCAs, morphine drips
- 1:8 nurse aid/patient care tech ratio
- 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation with a preceptor
- Additional Details
- Floating between MedSurg 5, MedSurg 6, and a 9 bed overflow unit
- Scrub color: Any clean and professional color
- Candidates must be outside of a 50-mile radius from the facility
