    Certification Details
  • Required certs: ACLS, BLS, If you hang chemo you need to be chemo certified but not required to work the floor
  • Other needed competencies: Ventilator, other hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000), ICP- all can train real time

  • A main Med Center in Eastern Nebraska is looking for PCU RN's.
  • 13 Week contract, 36 hours.
    Job Requirements
  • BLS, ACLs, and NIHSS are required.
    Schedule Information
  • Shifts: 12 hour
  • Shift times: 7a-7p, 7a-3p, 3p-7p, 7p-11p, 11p-7a, 7p-7a
  • Weekend requirements: Every third weekend
  • Self schedule
    Unit Specific Information
  • Unit: 6 East
  • Level of care: PCU and MedSurg
  • Number of beds: 27
  • RN Ratio (Days): 1 RN to 4 PCU, 1 to 5 M/S
  • RN Ratio (Nights): 1 RN to 5-6 patients
  • Scrubs: Navy Blue
  • Common Patient Diagnosis: Oncology
  • Common Drips/Medications: chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix
  • EMR: EPIC
  • IV Pumps: Alaris
  • Specialty Equipment Available: Lyko lifts in even rooms. Other lift equipment available.
    Additional Details
  • Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated.
  • Do travelers need specific oncology experience or is PCU experience okay? No, PCU is fine.
  • Are RNs required to titrate drips: insulin occasionally cardizem
  • Float: yes, same level of care
