- Job Details
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.
- Demonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population.
- Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or the situation.
- Analyzes the assessment data to determine the diagnoses or the issues.
- Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or the situation.
- Develops a plan that prescribes strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
- Implements the identified plan and evaluates progress toward the attainment of outcomes.
- Participates in ongoing educational activities related to appropriate knowledge bases and professional issues.
- Job Requirements
- Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of target patient populations specific to area of employment.
- Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse.
