- Job Details
- Care of emergency patients, age: birth to death, trauma, cardiac, respiratory, surgical, pediatric, stroke, general medical.
- Triage using ESI, assessment and identification of immediate needs, IV, cardiac monitoring, blood draw, administer medications, trauma resuscitation, codes, patient teaching.
- Equipment utilized: Cerner for charting, paper flowsheet for stroke, codes, trauma, level one, ranger, cardiac monitor, defibrillator, Omnicell.
- Prefer 2 years ED nursing with travel experience but will consider other based on resume/references.
- Job Requirements
- Active DE License required
- BLS (AHA Only) required
- ACLS (AHA Only) required
- TNCC required
- NIHSS required
- 2 Years ED experience required
- Schedule Information
- 3-12 hour shifts based on needs of the department.
- Usually either mid-shift 11-11 or 1-1 OR 7p-7a shift.
- Weekends required, every other or every third based on needs of the department.
- No call time required, ED does not require working alone.
- Unit Specific Information
- Navy Blue scrubs, non slip shoes required.
- First day with educator - no exceptions - based on availability and 2-12 hour shifts with preceptor on the unit.
