Travel & Workplace Events Coordinator

Working with Appian's Workplace and Facilities teams, the Travel & Workplace Events Coordinator will be responsible for helping plan and execute global workplace events focused on enhancing the employee experience. You'll also assist with the employee travel process, including: coordinating with travel vendors, facilitating approvals, and addressing policy questions for travelers. 

To be successful in this role, you need:

● To partner with internal stakeholders to maintain an event calendar for global, company-wide employee events as well as other employee engagement programs

● Collaboration cross-departmentally to assist various teams, departments, and employee groups to plan and execute events on-site at HQ, as well as other office and remote hub locations 

● To handle ad hoc requests around sourcing venues, ordering catering, acquiring supporting technology and coordinating materials to execute on events

● Customer service skills to assist traveling employees with questions and support regarding our Travel & Expense policy and the use of travel booking platform 

● Analytical skills to compile data on travel spend to inform policy decisions while providing post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback to incorporate these learnings into future event 

● Ability to travel up to 25% as needed

Basic Qualifications: 

● 2+ years event management experience in a high growth, fast paced environment

● 1+ years experience in management of an employee travel process

● Bachelor’s Degree.
