We need our next great Valuation Associate, and we want you to apply.

As a Valuation Associate, you'll travel throughout the eastern U.S. while conducting appraisals on government entities and other properties. We're searching for the adventurous type -- a lot of travel will be involved in this position (70%.) Keep your travel points though- they're yours for your next vacation.

This is an entry-level opportunity, but we also encourage applicants with an appraisals background. Our company gladly invests in certifications for its Appraisers (once they qualify, of course.)

Job Description:

Traveling Project Appraisal Associate

Do you like to travel? Are you ready to join a close-knit company where people stay? As a Traveling Project Appraisal Associate, you will travel throughout the U.S. while conducting appraisals for government entities, municipalities, higher ed institutions and other client properties. We are searching for the adventurous type -- a lot of travel will be involved in this position (60%.) Keep your travel points though- they're yours for your next vacation.

At AssetWorks, you will receive the type of specialized training that can shape your career. Our training begins with a 2-week classroom style course curriculum followed by up to 90 days of shadowed field training. In addition, we offer a project completion bonus plan, which includes:

  • $3,500 salary increase within 6-month anniversary of hire date.
  • $1,500 salary increase within 12 month-anniversary of hire date.

That's $5,000 of performance based increase, not including other project bonuses!

This is a tremendous entry-level opportunity, but we also encourage candidates with an appraisals background to apply. Job Description

  • Assists project managers in conducting customer site inspections for asset identification and analysis purposes.
  • Makes initial judgment on specific assets inspected and determines if the asset should be included in the valuation report (buildings, machinery & equipment, land improvements, etc.)
  • Documents asset attributes for valuation and reporting purposes.
  • Applies direct, standard, and normal costing techniques with consistency and accuracy (valuation of subject assets.)
  • Develops project management skills (project preparation, prioritizing tasks, effective client communication, scheduling, monitoring productivity, making decisions, solving problems, completing all necessary tasks efficiently, client follow up, and appraiser feedback.)

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree, or in lieu, equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software (Word, Excel, Outlook.)
  • A valid driver's license and dependable transportation to accommodate the travel requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, including air travel.
  • Ability to perform work comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
